Today's date in the year of 1996 was the day that Pocketmonsters Red and Green were released in Japan. (February 27, 1996. GMT+9)
That's nineteen years of progress and well, twenty-four to twenty-five years if you count the time it took to develop Pokémon from its start as Capsule Monsters back in 1990.
Pokémon seems to have made a lot of progress since then and it seems that the progress Snorlax has made is a good reflection of this...
Makes me wonder if this is the beginning of the end or the beginning of a new era.
Time will tell and we'll know it's not the end if that blobby monster starts to open it's eyes...XD
Anyway, yeah. Welcome to the world of Pokémon, a place where most of us have come in latr than many and sentimental crap and something about monsters and stuff.
So, thanks for reading.
Go ahead share your earliest memories of Pokémon in the comments as I'd really like to hear about them and talk a little bit about Pokémon with you.
Oh yeah, and HAPPY NINETEENTH BIRTHDAY, POKéMON!!
INB4: "IT NOT THA TWENNY-SEVENFH N00B!!!"
It's 12:00 AM in Japan as I write this, so that pretty much qualifies, I think.EDIT:
Oh yeah, and if you're unaware of it, I've been developing a Pokémon fan game. You can find that here: gamejolt.com/games/rpg/pokemon…
